What these checks can and cannot see

Each component is judged from signals the platform already records: whether the database answers, whether background jobs are completing and none is waiting too long, how many scans finished or failed, and whether an email transport is configured. The page cannot send a test email through the provider or call the scanner directly, so a provider or scanner problem shows up as failed scans or missing activity rather than as an outage of its own.
