CheckboxDocs

For agencies

Run one Checkbox workspace per client, invite each client as a viewer, and see every client's sites on one page.

If you build or run subscription sites for clients, give each client their own workspace. A workspace is a Checkbox organization: its own sites, findings, evidence, team and keys. You switch between workspaces in the sidebar.

One workspace per client

  1. Open the workspace switcher at the top of the sidebar (or press ⌘K / Ctrl+K) and choose Create workspace.
  2. Enter the client's name. You become the workspace's owner and land on its empty Sites page.
  3. Add the client's site there, as you would for your own.

Creating workspaces needs a confirmed email address. Each person can create 10 workspaces in any 24 hours; when you reach that, Checkbox says when you can create the next one. Write to support@checkbox.site if you need more.

Billing, alert channels, API keys and the test and live modes are per workspace, so a client's keys never reach another client's sites.

Invite the client as a viewer

In the client's workspace, open Team and choose Invite. Pick Viewer: the client can read their sites, findings, evidence and reports, and cannot change settings or start checks.

The client joins only that workspace. They do not see your other workspaces, their sites or their people, and they cannot switch into them. Your own teammates see a client workspace only if you invite them to it.

All workspaces

Once you belong to two or more workspaces, All workspaces (in the switcher and in ⌘K) lists them on one page:

ColumnWhat it shows
SitesSites in the workspace (archived sites are left out)
Need attentionSites with at least one failing check or check to review
Worst open findingThe most serious open finding: failing before "to review", then by severity
Last checkThe newest check across the workspace's sites

Workspaces that need attention come first. Select a finding to open it in its workspace, or Switch to work in one. Download CSV saves the table for a client report or your own tracking. The page follows the Test mode / Live mode switch.

What this is not

  • No white-labelling: emails, reports and the dashboard say Checkbox.
  • No per-site permissions: a role applies to every site in a workspace. Put sites that need different people in different workspaces.
  • Dashboard only: creating workspaces and the All workspaces page need a signed-in person. An API key or MCP connection belongs to one workspace, so a coding agent works inside the workspace whose key it has; connect the agent once per client workspace (Settings, Agent & API).

Checkbox is compliance software, not a law firm; nothing in these docs is legal advice (details). You remain solely responsible for your subscription program, and Checkbox takes on no legal liability for it (Terms). Checkbox is a System1 company; Trust center · Status. For AI agents: every page is available as Markdown at the same URL plus .md; the index is /llms.txt.
