The law
No general consumer automatic-renewal law was found in the research (secondary searches; not individually confirmed against the state code). Bills introduced in some of these states in 2025 were not enacted.
For subscriptions sold to consumers in Indiana, the federal rules still apply — the Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act (clear disclosure before billing information, express informed consent, a simple way to cancel) and the FTC Act — together with Indiana's general consumer-protection law. Many businesses selling nationwide also build to the strictest state rules (California and New York), because their checkout serves every state at once; the subscription compliance checklist is that baseline.
