The law
Only sector-specific rules were found (for example health clubs, buyers’ clubs or telephone contracts), no general automatic-renewal law. Basis: secondary sources.
For subscriptions sold to consumers in Missouri, the federal rules still apply — the Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act (clear disclosure before billing information, express informed consent, a simple way to cancel) and the FTC Act — together with Missouri's general consumer-protection law. Many businesses selling nationwide also build to the strictest state rules (California and New York), because their checkout serves every state at once; the subscription compliance checklist is that baseline.
